Tulloch Castle Hotel

Tulloch Castle dates from the 12th century, when the Bains and later the Clan Davidson laid claim to its lands. Its fortunes have changed many times since, and it now stands as a hotel at Dingwall in the Scottish Highlands. In days gone by only the Laird or the Chief of the Clan could enjoy a stay in a Highland castle like this; today anyone can book a room.

The castle

Many period features survive. The most notable is the 250-year-old panelled Great Hall, and the original fireplaces and ceilings have been painstakingly restored. These give the public rooms their character and are a good reason to linger downstairs rather than disappear to your room.

The rooms

There are 22 en-suite bedrooms, each with its own unique character and charm. The hotel is part of the Bespoke Hotels group and welcomes both leisure and business travellers. Guests can expect comfortable surroundings, splendid hospitality and good food, and the hotel also hosts weddings and meetings, so the public rooms can be busy at weekends.

Complimentary on-site parking is available to hotel guests, with no booking required. The hotel is notably dog friendly: dogs are welcome in all bedrooms and in the Green Lady Bar, for a charge of £15 per dog per night.
