Peristyle Cave Cappadocia

Peristyle Cave Cappadocia is a small hotel high in Uçhisar, beneath the castle that gives the village its skyline. It has eight rooms in total: five caves and three stone rooms. So this is a stay where most, though not all, of the rooms are carved into the rock.

The rooms

The rooms are named after the planets: Uranus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Mercury, Earth and Venus. Ask when booking if you specifically want a cave room.

The setting

According to the hotel, it sits “in the skies of Uçhisar Castle” with a bird’s-eye view over Cappadocia, and from the morning terrace you can almost touch the hot air balloons. Güvercinlik Valley, a walking valley, is in the immediate vicinity, and museums and ruins can be reached on foot, on daily tours, or by activity vehicles such as horse and ATV rides.

Food and drink

Breakfast is described as mixed and organic, prepared fresh, and can be taken on the terrace or in the room. The hotel also offers Cappadocian wines to taste on the terrace or in the lounge.
