Ottoman Cave Suites

Ottoman Cave Suites is described by its own site as a cosy, comfortable small rock hotel in an area with easy access to Göreme’s centre and many of Cappadocia’s sights. It has 13 rooms in total: eight carved into rock and five standard stone rooms. So most of the stay is cave accommodation, but a minority of rooms are not.

The rooms

The rooms are grouped on the website. The standard stone rooms are 301, 302, 304 and 305, while the standard rock-carved rooms include 101, 102 and 104. Deluxe rooms are 103, 203 and 204, and there are suites 201 and 303, plus a King Suite, 202. Five of its rock-carved suites have views of Uçhisar Castle, and one standard stone suite has views on both sides.

Views and breakfast

The hotel advertises panoramic views over the valleys, the mountains and the Erciyes volcano. Breakfast can be taken on the terrace with a view of the fairy chimneys. The site also mentions a restaurant.

Practical notes

The listed address is Avcılar Mahallesi, Okul Sokak No: 6, 50180 Göreme. The hotel is brand new, so it is a recent opening rather than a long-established house.

This is a decent choice if you want a cave room in Göreme at a hotel small enough to feel personal. Request a rock-carved room explicitly when booking.
