Locanda al Castello

Locanda al Castello combines a hotel, a restaurant and a wellness centre in one property, a few minutes from the centre of Cividale del Friuli. The setting is a castle complex, with crenellations and panoramic terraces that also serve as a backdrop for weddings.

Manor or wellness wing

The charm hotel has 27 rooms, either Junior Suites or Superior Doubles, and they are divided between two places: the ancient manor and a modern panoramic wing directly connected to the wellness centre, with its indoor pool and spa. Only the rooms in the manor are in the old castle building, so ask for one if the historic setting is why you are coming.

All rooms have Wi-Fi, a minibar, air conditioning, satellite TV, a safe and a telephone. The view sweeps from the historic centre of Cividale over the green eastern hills to the ancient monastery of Castelmonte and the skyline of the Carnic Alps, with the peaks of Monte Canin and Matajur snow-capped in winter. Breakfast is included in the room rate.

Wellness and dining

The wellness centre has a pool with chromotherapy, a Kneipp circuit, a fitness area and a hot tub. The restaurant is described as refined, with a breathtaking panorama.

Meetings and events

The castle has a ground-floor meeting hall of 180 square metres with three independent entrances and capacity for 100 people, and it is used for conventions, business, sports and cultural meetings as well as weddings.
