Hotel Castello di Santa Vittoria

Hotel Castello di Santa Vittoria stands at the top of the village of Santa Vittoria d’Alba, inside the walls of the castle. Its tower looks out over the hills of the Langhe and the Roero, and the walls date back more than eight hundred years. The hotel presents the stay as a pause from everyday life, a chance to reconnect with nature, tradition and the food of the area.

The rooms

There are 38 rooms: Superior rooms of about 16 square metres for two guests, Junior Suites of about 23 square metres for up to four, and one Suite of about 28 square metres for two. The hotel describes the rooms as romantic and refined, with modern comfort in a historic frame. The Junior Suites have views over the castle tower, the hills of the Roero or, in one case, the garden.

Eating and drinking

The restaurant, Il Castello, is inside the castle walls a short walk from the hotel and serves cooking that combines tradition and originality. A bar is open every day from 7:30am until 1am.

Facilities

An outdoor pool opens only in summer. The hotel also has meeting rooms, free unguarded parking and an internal lift. Reception is staffed around the clock, with staff speaking Italian, English, German, French and Spanish. Accessible rooms without steps and with walk-in showers are available, though the historic site has some architectural barriers in certain areas.

Getting there

The hotel is on the highest point of the hill and can be reached by car, motorbike or taxi. Check-in is available from 2pm until midnight, and check-out between 7am and 10am.
