Castello Tafuri Charming Suites

Castello Tafuri sits in Portopalo di Capo Passero, at the southeastern tip of Sicily, and has been turned into a small hotel of eighteen rooms and suites. The castle is a crenellated, defensive house that dominates the sea below, and it keeps its battlements: some suites have balconies set between the merlons.

The suites

The accommodation is grouped into Classic, Classic Sea View, Family Room, Side Sea View Suites, Premium Suites, Sea View Suite SPA, Executive Suites and Royal Suites. The Espero suite, a family room on the first floor, covers 72.85 m² with two double bedrooms, a living room with two further beds, a fully equipped kitchen area and a balcony. Maestrale, on the ground floor and reached from the entrance patio, is a 43.30 m² suite for two to four guests with a double bedroom, a living area and a kitchen corner, looking over the tonnara of Bruno di Belmonte and the turquoise sea below.

A tonnara is a traditional tuna fishery, and several suites are arranged to look out over it.

Food, pool and leisure

The hotel has a restaurant and a lounge bar. A panoramic pool with a sun terrace overlooks the water. The site also lists activities and local excursions, and the castle hosts weddings, meetings and music aperitifs.
