Castello di Oviglio

Castello di Oviglio stands in the municipality of Oviglio, roughly halfway between the provinces of Asti and Alessandria, among the vineyards of Piedmont, between the Monferrato and the Langhe. The castle was once the property of Queen Maria Cristina of Savoy, born an infanta of the Two Sicilies and wife of King Charles Felix, which is why it is known as a residence of royal rank.

Rooms named for artists

Overnight stays are offered in nine rooms, each named after an artist who brought honour to the surrounding territory. Four large suites (Bistolfi, Borsalino, Visconti and Migliara) have furnished sitting rooms and bathrooms with a whirlpool tub and a separate shower. Two junior suites, Moncalvo and Pelizza, are spacious rooms with a sitting area and a bathroom with whirlpool tub and separate shower. Three comfort doubles (Alfieri, Carrà and Morando) are bright rooms with a walk-in wardrobe and a mosaic bathroom with a large shower.
