Barahi Jungle Lodge

Barahi Jungle Lodge stands on the peaceful banks of the Rapti river in Meghauli, close to Chitwan National Park in Nepal. It is an eco-certified lodge, and the focus is on seeing the region’s wildlife and landscape from a comfortable base.

The huts

Accommodation comes as thatched huts, many of them dotted along the river bank and a few nestled in the jungle for more seclusion. In all there is one suite and 34 Deluxe rooms. Six of the rooms are paired in interconnecting huts, which suits families or groups travelling together. All rooms have private balconies. The Presidential Suite spans 46 sq m and uses natural stone and wood in its interior.

Safari and wildlife

The lodge offers private safaris, and it promotes the chance to spot Nepal’s wildlife, with some of it visible from the comfort of your room. A swimming pool gives you somewhere to cool off between outings. The huts are spread out along the river rather than stacked in a single block, which gives the lodge the feel of a small village.

This lodge suits families, groups and wildlife-minded couples.
